Faith is a firm persuasion, a conviction based on hearing. Therefore, according to Romans 10:17, faith comes from hearing God's Word: "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
The Bible is God's word to man. It is God-breathed and God-preserved from the time that Moses, under the moving of God's Spirit, began to write the Pentateuch to the time the apostle John completed the Scriptures by writing in the book of Revelation the things which were, which are, and which are yet to come (Revelation 1:19).
When Jesus came to earth as the Son of Man, He never contradicted the Scriptures, nor did He ever imply they were inaccurate in any detail. What modern scholars have deemed mere stories recorded by man in order to illustrate a point, Jesus treated as actual, historical events.
Doesn't it make more sense to believe the sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient God? To believe His Son, who is one with the Father and called "the Truth"? Or will we choose to believe men tutored by men more than the testimony of the One who, as the Son of God, has been forever with the Father - One who is called the very Word of God?
This truly is the line in the sand.
Only when you fully believe in God's Word can you live with bold, confident faith in its Author.

it really is a personal inspiration to see just a glimpse of some of your thoughts about your faith, while you are in school
i am in love with mercy...such a a good start to a post
i know sometimes you feel like your studying a lot and thats making it hard to share some of your thoughts about the Lord, but the ones you do write on here are certainty reflective of the fact that you havent forgotten about the one who called you to israel, the one you died for you, the one who matter more than anything
